Backstory:
Here we see mercenary armed support for a salvage crew, about to dismantle a disabled tank, in some God forsaken warzone, on some mineral rich planet. They have called in heavy transport to remove the salvage. The figher in the foreground goes to the high ground to set up position in order to provide machine gun cover.

Technical notes:
I rendered multiple passes of all models and the background seperately. Multiple light passes, bump, colour, gloss etc. etc. Then overlaid in Photoshop layers (using normal, lighten, darken, overlay etc.). This was my Uplift Universe Challenge entry. I guess the idea was for an orbiting creche/ school/ hospital so off world workers could have their families near by while they worked mining asteroids, building space stations or whatever space parents of the future might do to make ends meet.

The pilot in the foreground is the only survivor of the crash, she flags down a dropship.
